Certified Kripalu Yoga Teacher

Marcia Trachtenberg has practiced yoga for over 20 years and is a certified Kripalu Yoga Instructor. She studied at the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts. Former owner of the Bernardsville Yoga Center for six years, Marcia now works with private clients in their homes and with small groups. As a teacher, her intention is to offer a heart-centered, classical approach to yoga. She is also certified to teach Pilates Matwork.

PRIVATE SESSIONS
Marcia offers one-hour private sessions to clients in their home. She is skilled at working with people with physical limitations due to injuries, etc. If you are interested in private yoga instruction, please contact Marcia for details at 908-630-YOGA or by email.

KRIPALU YOGA
Kripalu Yoga offers deep respect for the individual, and each person is encouraged to unfold at his or her own pace. Kripalu yoga is wonderful for body, mind, and spirit. For the body, it stretches and tones muscles, releases chronic tension, improves circulation, energizes, and refreshes. For the mind, it calms restless thoughts, cultivates concentration, supports mental clarity and confidence, and promotes self-awareness. For the spirit, it connects one to one's Self, encourages self-acceptance, honors inner wisdom, and invites deep stillness.

PILATES-BASED MATWORK
Pilates Matwork helps to build a strong "core" -- strengthening and lengthing the torso. Based on the work of Joseph Pilates in the 1920's. it helps inviduals develop body awareness, balance, and control. It improves posture, body alignment, and overall well-being. Strong abdominals are one of the greatest benefits of the matwork.
